MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team hosts the Union University Bulldogs on Oct. 13 and the Christian Brothers Buccaneers on Oct. 14.

About Montevallo
Last season, the Falcons took the only matchup between Montevallo and Union in five sets. UM has won the last two matches from the Bulldogs and are 6-3 against Union dating back to 2017.
Montevallo is 2-2 at home this season and is looking to snap a two-match losing skid.
Macy Martin continues to lead the Falcons with 143 kills while being tied for 10
th in the GSC in that statistic.
Colton Thompson had her best week of the season as she had 83 assists, 35 digs, four kills, three aces and two total blocks in three matches last week. Thompson is tied for fifth in the GSC with 374 and leads Montevallo with 21 service aces.
As a team, the Falcons are top-five in assists, kills and digs in the Gulf South.
Scouting Union
The Bulldogs come in with an overall record of 3-16 while losing their last five matches. Union is coming off a weekend where they were swept by Valdosta State and West Georgia.
Reese Owens leads the Bulldogs with 145 kills while having 17 service aces on the season. Gracie Tacker has the most assists for Union with 366 which is the eighth highest in the conference.
Davey Slaughter is sixth in the GSC with 233 digs and she averages 3.53 per set. Jordan Moore is the lead blocker at the net for the Bulldogs with 45 total blocks which has her at the 10
th most in the conference.
First serve scheduled for 6:00 p.m. inside the Student Activity Center on Friday, Oct. 13.

The Lady Buccaneers currently have a 2-17 record and are on a six-match losing streak. CBU is coming off of a loss to Henderson State on Oct. 9, 1-3.
Christian Brothers is led by Calah Jackson who has 119 kills and Alma Solis who has 108.
Sarah Allyn Thornell leads the Lady Bucs with 323 assists while being one of three players with over 10 services aces. Sofia Rathheim-Hilton has the most digs with 178 while Alma Solis leads CBU with 36 total blocks.
