MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team looks to start their week off right with a midweek matchup against Lee University on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
Last Time Out
Montevallo is coming off a match against West Georgia where they were defeated 3-1. The Falcons set a season-high as a team with 95 digs in the match. UM had a hitting percentage of .104 and had 45 kills.

About Montevallo
The Falcons are looking to repeat what they did against the Flames on Sept. 19 when Montevallo defeated Lee in a 3-0 sweep. UM also has defeated the Flames in six consecutive matches.
Kamble Frenette and
Macy Martin are coming off of strong matches in their last outing against West Georgia where Macy had 11 kills, 16 digs, and an ace while
Kamble Frenette had 11 kills and five blocks.
Casey Hendrixson is looking to continue her great defensive work as she posted 60 digs last week in three matches. Casey is eighth in the GSC with 190 on the season.
As a team, Montevallo has stepped up their blocking the last couple weeks as they have posted six or more total blocks in the last six out of seven matches.
Scouting Lee
The Flames come in with a 11-6 record and are currently on a three-match win streak defeating Alabama-Huntsville, Young Harris and Shorter.
Lee is neck and neck with the Falcons as they have a 3-2 GSC record and are looking to beat the Falcons in Montevallo for the first time since Oct. 20, 2017.
The Flames are led by Abby Stroh who has the fifth highest kill amount in the conference with 166. Stroh is also dangerous while serving as she has 27 aces which leads the Flames and is fourth in the GSC in that statistic.
Defensively, Kamryn Halpin has the most digs with 215 and the Flames have a middle blocker duo of Naomi Hockless and Macy Petty who both have over 30 total blocks on the season.
Tomorrow is Greek Life and College Night at the SAC, first serve schedule for 6 p.m. and the cookout/tailgate starts at 5 p.m. outside the SAC.
