MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team is ready to host the Shorter Hawks in their last home match of the regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

About Montevallo
The Falcons come in with a GSC record of 8-4 which is tied for third in the current conference standings. Winners of their last two matches, Montevallo looks to remain hot as they are averaging 52 kills per match in the previous week.
Colton Thompson was outstanding against Mississippi College as she totaled 22 assists, 12 digs, five kills, two aces and two total blocks. The Fairhope, Alabama native is sixth in the GSC with 565 assists.
Allie Dishman and
Macy Martin are both over 200 kills for the season while they both average over 2.40 kills per set.
Scouting Shorter
Shorter comes in with a 6-17 overall record while they are 2-10 in Gulf South play. The Hawks are coming off a victory over the Christian Brothers Buccaneers 3-0 on Saturday, Oct. 28.
Shorter is led by Caroline Sivills who has 167 kills, 28 total blocks and 55 digs on the year. Claudia Loyola has 22 service aces on the season which leads Shorter.
As a team, Shorter has 928 kills, 154 aces, 846 assists and a hit percentage of .124.
