MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team is set to travel to Montgomery, Ala. to take on the Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks on Oct. 6 and then to Pensacola, Fla. to take on the #15 West Florida Argonauts on Oct. 7.
 
Last Time Out
The Falcons are coming off a midweek victory against Lee University where they won in five sets on Tuesday, Oct. 3. As a team Montevallo had a season-high of 107 digs and 67 kills.

About Montevallo
Last season, Montevallo split the regular season series against the Warhawks. Both teams won at home as AUM took the first matchup 2-3 and the Falcons took the second 3-2. Montevallo was 0-3 against West Florida last year as the Argonauts swept the Falcons in every match.
 
Macy Martin is coming off a career-high of 19 kills against Lee on Tuesday. The senior outside hitter leads Montevallo with 134 kills this season which is ninth in the Gulf South Conference.
 
Allie Dishman tied a career-high with eight total blocks against Lee. She is eighth in the GSC with a .290 hit percentage and she is also eighth in the conference with 41 total blocks.
 
As a team, the Falcons are eighth in the GSC with a .149 hit percentage, fifth in assists at 645, fifth in kills with 709 and sixth with 99 total blocks.
 
Scouting AUM
Auburn Montgomery is currently tied for sixth in the GSC with a 3-3 conference record and they are coming off a midweek match against Mississippi College where they lost in five sets.
As a team, the Warhawks are second with a .220 hitting percentage in the GSC and second with 137 service aces (1^st with 2.32 service aces per set)
 
Ruth Sconocchini has the highest kill percentage for the Warhawks and has the fourth highest in the conference at .319. The talented freshman in the seventh with 157 kills in the GSC.
 
Defensively, Kaleigh Fitzgerald has 222 digs which is the fourth most in the GSC while Myllena Torquetti leads AUM with 44 total blocks on the season.

Scouting West Florida
The Argonauts are currently top the GSC with a 12-4 overall record while being undefeated in conference play at 6-0. UWF is coming off a sweep of West Alabama and currently have won their last nine matches.
 
West Florida is top-three in the Gulf South in points, hitting percentage, assists, kills and blocks.
 
Avery Rodgers leads the conference with a .357 hit percentage while Jenna Zydlo is third in the GSC with a hitting percentage of .347.
 
Gabi Moulton has the most assists for the Argonauts with 341 which is the fourth highest total in the conference. West Florida is dominant at the net on defense as they have the duo of Jenna Zydlo with a 52 total blocks and Bailee Sterling with 47 total blocks on the season.
 
First serve against AUM set for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6 and the Falcons will take on West Florida at 12:30 p.m. in Pensacola on Oct. 7.
