MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo men's basketball opens its home season in the Student Activity Center, Friday, against Clark-Atlanta.
Just two games into the year, Montevallo opens at home against 2-0 Clark-Atlanta from Atlanta, Georgia, and the SIAC.
Friday's home contest is the third of five total non-conference matchups for UM this season.
So Far This Season…
The Falcons enter the home opener at 0-2 overall after dropping both games of the Gulf South Conference/Sunshine State Conference Crossover in Miami Shores, Florida last week. Montevallo dropped the season opener to No. 2 Nova Southeastern – the defending National Champions – 124-96. To close out the tournament, UM fell to host Barry, 95-83.

Clark-Atlanta comes to the Student Activity Center with a 2-0 record on the year. The Panthers have defeated a pair of Gulf South Conference opponents already. To open the regular season, CAU defeated West Florida 74-57 at home and Valdosta State 77-64. They will face Montevallo on the first road trip of the regular season. In a preseason exhibition, CAU defeated Division-I Mercer 71-64 in Macon, Georgia.
Series History Against Clark-Atlanta
Montevallo owns a 3-1 record against the Panthers all-time and is currently on a two-game win streak. UM is 2-0 all-time in the Student Activity Center. The only win for CAU in the series was on Dec. 11, 2018, in Atlanta, 58-55.
