HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
- West Florida started off hot by jumping out to a 12-3 lead.
- After a kill from Morgan Hoffman, UWF took four straight points to extend the Argonaut lead to 17-5.
- UWF would win the set by winning the last five points.
Set 2
- The Argonauts started the second set like they ended the first by taking a 9-3 lead on the Falcons.
- An ace from Macy Martin and a kill from Morgan Hoffman ended the Argonaut run.
- UWF took the next nine out of 12 points to take a 20-10.
- The Falcons made a run late as the Argonauts committed three errors in a row by the West Florida lead was too much.
Set 3
- Montevallo took the lead early thanks to three early kills from Allie Dishman who led the Falcons with eight kills in the match.
- West Florida took the next six points with two kills and two aces.
- Morgan Hoffman closed the gap with two kills to make it 10-8 advantage UWF.
- The Argonauts won the next five points with four coming off Falcon errors.
- Montevallo went on a 5-1 run with kills from Colton Thompson, Macy Martin and Allie Dishman.
- West Florida closed the Falcons out by taking the last five out of six points.
