MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The University of Montevallo women's lacrosse team fell to No. 15 Lynn, 17-7, Sunday.

After two quick goals from the Fighting Knights, the Falcons struck back with two goals of their own. The first goal came from sophomore attacker, Jenna Piazza with 13:31 to go and the second from graduate midfielder, Anja Kuys with an assist from fellow graduate midfielder, Crystal Williams with 10:30 to go in the period. Splitting two trios of goals from the knights was Lily McCormick with an unassisted goal at the 6:48 mark.

The second quarter started off right with a goal in the first 52 seconds from freshman attacker Mikaela Barbieri with an assist from Jenna Piazza. The rest of the quarter was quiet for the Falcons, as this was the only score.

The first score of the second half came from Falcon midfielder Kiley Shea on a free position with 9:36 remaining in the third quarter, being the only score for the Falcons in the quarter.Â

Kuys got back into the action in the fourth quarter scoring two more goals with assists from Amber Lynch and Claire Withington respectively, finalizing the score at 17-7.
