VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Montevallo men's tennis team fell to the third-ranked Valdosta State, 7-0, on Friday, March 17.
The Falcons failed to secure the doubles point with three losses in the early going of the match. Freshman duo
Paul Sobich and
Dylan Kamel nearly pulled out a win but eventually fell 6-3.
Senior
Philippe Zehender put up a strong fight against the No. 1 player in the country but would fall in the top singles match, 6-4, 6-2. Sobich nearly posted a lone win for Montevallo but was denied in the tie breakers for both sets.
