MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo women's tennis team took its first win of the season after defeating Delta State, 5-2, on Saturday. 
 
Montevallo opened the afternoon with a win in doubles from Erika Freire and Eva Dirr. Emily Hafner and Leiselotte Hartlöhner's win in the second doubles slot secured the point while Cyba Ozzor and Mireia Turro added a third win for good measure. 
 
Turro won her singles match in dominant fashion with a 6-2, 6-0 win in the No. 1 slot. Sophomore London Breedlove and Freshman Great Vagnini added a pair of straight-set victories to seal the victory while Ozzor's win by retirement scored the fifth and final point. 
 
UP NEXT: The Falcons will head to the Magnolia State to take on Mississippi College on Thursday, March 9.
