MONTEVALLO, ALA. - The University of Montevallo women's lacrosse team falls in Florida.

The Falcons came out fighting, as a score from
Kiley Shea right out of the gate gave them the lead.
Mikaela Barbieri scored the second goal of the game with an assist from
Crystal Williams at the 12:22 mark in the first quarter. A Flagler goal was scored before
Jodi Morawiec added the final goal of the period for Montevallo with 7:54 to play. Sadly for the Falcons, this 3-1 lead would falter, as the Saints scored three goals in the final three minutes of the period.

One more goal was added at the start of the second from Flagler. Shea was able to get one into the back of the net at the 12:26 mark in the second. This would be the only goal for Montevallo in the quarter, while Flagler racked up three more. The score at halftime was 4-8.

After the break, two more goals by the Saints pushed the lead further. Barbieri added her second goal of the game with 8:47 left in the third period, before another Saints' score. Morawiec scored her second goal of the game with an assist from
Chloe Norman with 6:51 to go, keeping the score within five. A barrage of Flagler goals between the third and fourth period propelled their lead to 12. With 3:25 to play,
Jenna Piazza scored Montevallo's first goal of the fourth quarter, on an assist from
Chloe Norman. Moraweic followed her up with a goal of her own, totaling three for the game. A final minute Saints' goal finalized the score at 8-19.
