Cleveland, Tenn. - The University of Montevallo women's lacrosse team slips to 1-4 in conference play after an 8-13 loss to Lee University.

The first half for the falcons was tough. The Flames shut out Montevallo while racking up 11 goals for themselves.

The second half was bright for the Falcons as they started to heat up.
Jenna Piazza was the first to score for Montevallo in just under two minutes from the start of the second half.
Jodi Morawiec assisted on a goal for
Kiley Shea at the 9:40 mark in the third, and
Anja Kuys put one in the back of the net just 40 seconds after Shea. The third quarter ended with back-to-back goals from Lee putting the score at 3-13.

The Falcons fought back in the fourth shutting out Lee in the quarter. Piazza added her second goal of the game in the first 70 seconds of the period.
Crystal Williams then got into the action with a goal, assisted by Kuys with 9:30 to play.
Mikaela Barbieri scored on an assist from Williams with 8:43 to go in the game. Kuys then added two more goals in the next minute of play. The Falcons' offense came to halt as they were unable to complete the comeback, finalizing the score at 8-13.
