MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team is set to take on the Auburn Montgomery Warhawks on Thursday, Oct. 17 at the AUM Athletics Complex.

Montevallo saw their three-match win streak snapped by the Alabama-Huntsville Chargers on Tuesday, Oct. 15 as UAH won in three sets. Despite the loss,
Aliyah Thompson played great with six kills in eight attacks with no errors. Thompson also had two blocks.

About Montevallo
The Falcons are currently 5-4 in GSC play and are sixth in the conference standings. Through 19 matches, Montevallo is fourth in the GSC with 774 assists, fourth with 831 kills and third with 141.5 blocks.
Colton Thompson earned her 123 aces of her career which moves her into seventh in Montevallo's division II history. Thompson is currently eighth in the Gulf South with 353 assists while she leads the team with 23 service aces this season.
Brooklyn Hudson is having a career year for the Falcons as she has career-highs in kills with 117 and in total blocks with 39. Hudson has been a solid contributor as she has six or more kills in her last six matches including a 14-kill match against Valdosta State and a 10-kill match against Union.
Montevallo is 6-4 against the Warhawks dating back to their first matchup in 2017. The Falcons have dropped four of their last five matches to AUM and are 2-3 when playing the Warhawks away from home.
Scouting Auburn Montgomery
Auburn Montgomery comes into Thursday match with a 4-13 overall record and a 1-7 record in GSC play. AUM is looking to snap a seven-match losing streak. In their most recent match, the Warhawks fell to Trevecca Nazarene in four sets.
The Falcons will have their hands full as AUM has the reigning GSC Player of the Week, Maya Thompson. Thompson has 11 matches this season with double-digit kills. In the GSC, she is sixth with a .303 hitting percentage, fourth with 198 kills, sixth with 55 total blocks and fifth with 245.5 total points. As a team, the Warhawks are second in the GSC with 131 aces. On the team, Greta Corrente is second in the conference with 33 aces and Campbell Gash is seventh with 25.
