So Far This Season…
The Falcons opened the season as the hosts of the Gulf South/Sunshine State Crossover on Nov. 8 and Nov. 9. Montevallo kicked off the 2024-25 season with a 93-81 win over Barry for the program's first win over the Buccaneers since 2005. The Falcons went on to fall to No. 2 Nova Southeastern, 104-87, on Saturday, Nov. 9.
Montevallo is one of five Gulf South Conference teams that are averaging at least 90.0 points per game on a 48.1-percent clip from the field. The Falcons start the season as one of the top three-point shooting teams in the league with a 40.0-percent mark from long range in the first two games of the season while leading the GSC with an average of 12 threes per game. The Falcons are pulling down an average of 33.5 rebounds per game with 10.0 offensive boards per game.
Through two games, the Falcons have four individuals averaging double-digit points with
Jaylen Curry leading the pack at 19.0 points per game. The senior also leads the team in field-goal percentage with a .522 mark from the floor to pair with a .500 mark from long range.
Jay Gillispie leads the Falcons on the glass with an average of 8.5 rebounds per game while being the only Falcon to record a double-double in the early part of the season. Sophomore guard
Brandon Fussell continues to be Montevallo's top passer with four assists per game after the first weekend of the season.

The Badgers head into Friday's matchup with a 1-2 overall record after opening the season with a 107-98 loss to Rollins on Nov. 8. The Badgers went on to top Florida Tech, 89-86, on Nov. 9. Most recently, Spring Hill dropped a road meeting with Flagler, 100-82, on Monday, Nov. 11.
