MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo women's lacrosse dropped a matchup with No. 7 Rollins, 23-3, on Sunday afternoon. 
 
The Falcons fell behind quickly with Rollins scoring the first goal of the game at the 12:33 mark. Montevallo took advantage of the first man-up opportunity with Claire Withington scoring Montevallo's first goal with 5:57 on the clock. Freshman Ellery Shearer closed the first quarter with her fifth goal of the season as Montevallo went to the second trailing 13-2. 
 
Montevallo was outscored 5-0 in the second quarter with Mackenzie Griffin adding three saves in the quarter while the Falcons offense produced just one shot. 
 
Montevallo held Rollins to just three goals in the third quarter with Lily Moats looking to break the scoreless streak for Montevallo at the 5:29 mark but was turned aside. 
 
Goalie Miranda Laird tallied four saves in the fourth quarter while Jenna Piazza converted a free-position shot for the third Falcon goal of the day.
