Falcons Set Four School Records on Day Three of NSISC Championships. Men's 400-Yard Medley Sets NCAA Qualifying Time

CLEVELAND, Miss. – On the third round of finals at the New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference championships, Montevallo set four new school records with a national-qualifying time in the men's 400-yard medley relay. 
 
After setting a school record earlier in the day during the 100-yard fly, Keara McGee broke her own record in the finals with an 11th-place time of 56.48 seconds. 
 
On the men's side of the 100-yard fly finals, Aleksei Kolesnikov set a new Montevall record with a time of 47.54 which earned the sophomore a fourth-place finish. Kolesnikov's school record time earned an NCAA B-cut.  
 
Montevallo qualified for nationals in the men's 400-yard medley relay with a qualifying time of 3:13.95. The Falcons' six-second improvement in the event earned Montevallo second place in the event. 
 
The Falcons' women's 400-yard medley relay squad also set a new Montevallo record with a fourth-place finish in the event after posting a time of 3:54.01.  
 
Montevallo junior Beth Balent led the Falcons with a sixth-place finish in the 400-yard IM finals with a time of 4:36.12. 
 
Montevallo jumps back into action for the fourth day of the championships with prelims set for 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 23.
