COLUMBUS, Ga. – Montevallo women's tennis dropped a match with No. 8 Columbus State, 6-1, on Saturday, March 2.
The Cougars took the doubles point with a 6-3 win over Lieselotte Hartlohner and
Klara Podskubkova in the top doubles slot. A 7-5 loss from
Latizia Bojara and
Johanna Kullman secured CSU's team point. In the third doubles match,
London Breedlove and Garbiella De Jesus to a 6-3 victory.
Hartlohner scored Montevallo's lone team point of the day after her opponent withdrew in the second set. Kullman battled in the No. 5 singles match but fell in three sets 2-6, 6-3, 7-10.
Claire Jaramba,
Erika Freire, Breedlove and Podskubkova each fell in two set matches as the Falcons fell to a top-10 program.
