ROME, Ga. – Montevallo men's tennis took a 7-0 win on the road at Shorter for the third win on the conference schedule with the Falcons dropping just one set during the match.
 
Montevallo took the doubles point with a 7-5 win from Leonidas Lazarides and Samuel Maia in the top match while Simon Luigs and Sam Parsons added a 6-2 win in the No. 2 match. Philippe Zehender and Vittorio Noli added a 6-2 win in the final doubles match to cap a 3-0 sweep in the doubles matches.
 
The lone dropped set of the day came in the top singles match that ended with a 6-2, 6-7, 7-6, win from Lazarides. In the second singles match, Zehender added a 7-5, 6-3 victory while Noli earned a 6-1, 6-0 win in the third match. No. 4 singles was highlighted by a 7-5, 6-0 victory from Luigs before Maia garnered a 6-4, 6-1 win in No. 5 singles. Finally, freshman Ryota Nakajima capped the Falcons' undefeated day with a 6-0, 6-4 victory in the final match.
 
Montevallo is set to host Mississippi College on Friday, March 22 for the annual Sea of Purple match.
