ROME, Ga. – Montevallo women's tennis took its second-consecutive shutout victory with another dominant performance on the road at Shorter.
The Falcons kicked off the 7-0 victory with a win in the doubles point with a 6-1 win from
Klara Podskubkova and Lieselotte Hartlohner in the top match. Montevallo secured the doubles point with a 6-2 victory from
Greta Vagnini and
Claire Jaramba in the No. 3 doubles match.
Podskubkova kicked off the singles matches with a 6-0, 6-3 victory in the top slot while Hartlohner added a 6-3, 6-1 win in the No. 2 match.
London Breedlove tallied a 6-1, 6-2 victory in the No. 3 match before
Latizia Bojara walked away with a 6-1, 6-2 No. 4 singles win. Each of the final two matches finished with a 6-1, 6-0 Montevallo win with
Johanna Kullman and Erika Friere capping Montevallo's shutout victory.
Montevallo is set to host Mississippi College on Friday, March 22 for the annual Sea of Purple match.
