BRISTOL, Tenn. – Montevallo men's tennis improved to 7-7 on the season with a 5-2 road win over King on March 27.
The Falcons walked away with the doubles point after a 6-3 win in the top slot from
Leonidas Lazarides and
Samuel Maia before
Sam Parsons and
Gabriel Variano secured the point with a 6-2 victory.
Montevallo fell in each of the top singles matches before
Simon Luigs earned a 6-3, 6-0 win in the No. 3 match. Freshman
Ryota Nakajima added a 6-0, 6-2 win to pull the Falcons within one point of the team victory before Variano tallied the fourth point for Montevallo with a 6-0, 6-1 win. The Falcons added a fifth point with a win by default in the No. 6 match.
Montevallo heads to Athens, Tenn. on March 28 for a match at Tennessee Wesleyan.
