MONTEVALLO, Ala. - University of Montevallo Head Men's Basketball Coach Anthony Komara has announced the signing of shooting guard Carter Wesson to the 2024 class.

Wesson joins the Falcons following a four-year playing career at Albermarle High School and a year of postgraduate play at Fork Union Military Academy.

The 6'4 guard was a four-year letterman at Albermarle High for Head Coach Greg Maynard where he averaged 10 points, four rebounds and two assists per game during his career.
 
The Charlottesville, Virginia native earned First Team All-Metro honors in 2023 and 2022 while adding Second Team All-State honors in 2022.
 
Wesson earned Tournament MVP Honors at the Holliday Classic twice and was named to the 2022-23 Central Virginia All-Star team.

After graduating from high school in 2023, Wesson enrolled at Fork Union Military Academy for a postgraduate year and was a member of the men's basketball team. During the 2023-24 season, Wesson helped Fork Union to a 31-7 record.

Wesson is the fifth signee of Komara's 2024 class, joining Colton Echols, Luke Stephens, Luke Smith and O'Neill Connolly.
