MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Montevallo women's tennis dropped its first-round matchup to No. 2 Auburn Montgomery, 4-0, at the 2024 Gulf South Conference tournament.
The Falcons looked to steal the doubles point after
Johanna Kullman and
Latizia Bojara won the second doubles match 6-4. With a loss in the No. 3 match, Lieselotte Hartlohner and
Klara Podskubkova looked to clinch the point but fell 6-4 in the top match.
Montevallo fell behind 2-0 in the team scoreboard after
London Breedlove fell 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 4 singles match. A 6-3, 6-3, loss from Podskubkova left the Falcons one point away from elimination. The Falcons fell to the Warhawks with a 6-2, 6-0 loss from Bojara in the No. 5 singles match.
The Falcons finished the 2024 season with a 9-11 overall record and a 4-6 mark in GSC action.
