#12 Flagler Drops Women's Lacrosse in First Home Conference Game

Montevallo, Ala. – #12 Flagler drops Falcons in first home conference game.
 
Flagler came out swinging in the first quarter, scoring the first four goals of the game. Trinity Rose was able to pick up the first goal of the game for the Falcons off an assist from Claire Withington with 3:09 in the period. The Saints picked up one more before the end of the period.
 
The Saints ran away with the second quarter, scoring six goals unanswered, four coming from free-position shots.
 
Kiley Shea was the first to strike in the second half. She scored on a free-position shot with 12:20 to go in the period, before Flagler rattled off six more goals in the period.
 
Flagler grabbed the first draw and scored within 12 seconds on the first possession of the fourth quarter. A second goal for the Saints was picked up in just 1:25. Ellery Shearer managed to grab back-to-back goals off of free-position shots with 9:06 and 6:17 to go in the game. Flagler grabbed two more before the buzzer, finalizing the score at 4-21.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
1st | Flagler scored the first four goals of the game, with three being free-position goals. The Falcons picked one up late in the quarter before another Saints goal to end out the period.
2nd | The second period was all Flagler as they grabbed six more goals in the quarter.
3rd | Montevallo struck first in the third, off a free-position goal, before six more goals from the Saints.
4th | Flagler grabbed two more goals before back-to-back goals from the Falcons. Two more goals from the Saints finished off the game.

GAME NOTES 
  • The Falcons had four goals on seven shots.
  • Montevallo's goalkeepers totaled 11 saves.
  • Flagler won the draw control game 17-11.
  • The Saints were 9-12 on free-position shots.
