NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Montevallo volleyball team fell in four sets to Trevecca on Saturday afternoon inside Trojan Fieldhouse.

Trevecca took early control in the opening set, racing out to a 5-0 lead. The Falcons battled back to within two at 10-8 following a Danielle Greene kill, but the Lady Trojans responded with a 7-2 run to pull away and capture the first set, 25-16.
Both sides traded points in the second frame before Trevecca used a 5-1 spurt to grab a 17-13 advantage. Despite late kills from Greene and Maggie McColley, the Lady Trojans held on for a 25-18 win to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
Montevallo found its rhythm in the third set, jumping ahead 6-2 behind kills from Eliza Tyrrell and McColley and a block from Katie Wilkerson. After Trevecca closed the gap to one, the Falcons answered with four straight points and finished strong on a 5-2 run to secure a 25-17 victory. The set also marked a career milestone for sophomore setter Blakeley Robbins, who tallied her 1,000th career assist.
The fourth set remained tight through the midway point before Trevecca broke a 10-10 tie with a 7-2 run. A late push from Montevallo, capped by a Mae Mae Beatty kill, trimmed the deficit to 20-18, but the Lady Trojans closed out the match on a 5-1 run to take the set, 25-19.
