MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo volleyball team closes out the regular season with a pair of matches over the next two days. The Falcons travel to Montgomery on Thursday for a 6:00 p.m. matchup at Auburn Montgomery before returning home Friday night to host UAH at 6:00 p.m. for Senior Night inside Central State Bank Arena.
The Falcons enter the week 12-16 overall and 9-9 in Gulf South Conference play, sitting sixth in the league standings. Prior to Friday's match, Montevallo will recognize four seniors for their contributions to the program: Maggie McColley, Morgan Netcott, Danielle Greene, and Delaney Sisson.
AUM enters Thursday's contest at 3-23 (2-16 GSC) after dropping a pair of 3-0 decisions to Lee and Trevecca last weekend. The Warhawks are led by Kendall McCain with 307 kills, while Addi Vinson (386 assists) and Kiara Vega (384 assists) share setting duties. McCain, Vinson, and Taylor Lewis anchor the AUM defense, and freshman Jaslyn Montgomery leads the team at the net with 60.0 total blocks.
UAH, currently third in the GSC standings, comes into Friday with a 22-5 (14-4 GSC) record after falling 3-0 to Christian Brothers last time out. The Chargers are paced offensively by Caroline Moyer (326 kills) and Zoe Smith (313 kills), while Cooper Garrett leads the offense with 510 assists. Sydney Durban has recorded a team-high 412 digs, and Mary Grace Bundrant leads the front line with 87.0 blocks.
