The Falcons look to keep their postseason momentum rolling after sweeping Mississippi College in the opening round on Tuesday. Montevallo showcased a balanced attack in the win, with three players finishing with seven kills each. Danielle Greene also made program history, becoming the Falcons' NCAA-era single-season blocks leader after totaling four blocks to reach 164.0 on the year.
Montevallo placed two Falcons on the GSC All-Conference teams, as Greene earned First Team honors following a dominant season in the middle, while Ava Wind was named to the Second Team after leading UM with 573 digs.
Lee enters its first tournament matchup at 16-13 (12-8 GSC) after finishing fourth in the conference. The Flames placed three players on the All-GSC Second Team - Esthefany Rabit, Sara Palumbo, and Sophia Lippert. Lippert leads the offense with 220 kills, with Palumbo adding 198 kills, 232 digs, 46 service aces, and 15.0 blocks. Rabit ranks second in the GSC with 134 total blocks, along with 189 kills.
GAME NOTES
- Montevallo and Lee split the regular-season series, with the Falcons earning a 3-1 win at home on Sept. 27.
- Friday's winner advances to Saturday's semifinal to face top-seeded West Florida.
