MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo women's basketball team is set to open the 2025-26 home slate on Monday, as the Falcons welcome Talladega College to Central State Bank Arena.
OFFICIAL SCHEDULE
Montevallo opened the season last weekend at the GSC/SSC Challenge, falling to a pair of ranked opponents in No. 12 Embry-Riddle (Nov. 14) and No. 19 Nova Southeastern (Nov. 15). Elyse Hughes had a solid game against the Sharks, earning career-highs in both points (23) and rebounds (nine). Emily Mouser and Julia Susla also recorded double-digit games against NSU, scoring 14 and 10, respectively.
Talladega holds an overall record of 4-1 and a 2-1 mark in the HBCUAC. The Tornadoes played in a pair of regular season contests this past week, falling to Oakwood, 85-58, on Thursday, before earning an, 80-51, victory over Fisk on Saturday. Olympia Chaney was the only Tornadoes' player to reach double figures in both contests, scoring 16 against Oakwood and ten against Talladega.
