MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo women's basketball team hits the road for the final time in the 2025 calendar year, to face off against Christian Brothers (Dec. 18) and (RV) Union (Dec. 20).
Montevallo holds an overall record of 2-6 and a 1-3 mark in Gulf South Conference play. The Falcons earned its first conference victory of the season on Saturday, taking down Mississippi College, 70-59, inside of Central State Bank Arena. Against the Choctaws, Audrey Hendrix drained six three-pointers, as she scored a season-high 18 points. Jerrilyn Richardson was solid on the glass against MC, tallying a season-high 14 rebounds.
On the season, the Falcons are averaging 56.3 points, while shooting 38.1-percent from the floor and 26.5-percent from beyond the arc. A pair of Falcons average double figures in Elyse Hughes (12.1 ppg) and Emily Mouser (10.8 ppg). Across the GSC, Mouser ranks fifth in assists per game (3.6) and ninth in assist to turnover ratio (1.0), while Elyse Hughes ranks tenth in rebounding (6.8 rpg).
Christian Brothers holds an overall record of 3-6 and a 0-3 mark in GSC play. The Lady Bucs dropped its lone contest of the week at (RV) Union. CBU averages 59.3 points, while shooting 39.8-percent from the floor and 28.2-percent from distance. On the season, Donee' Frazier leads the team in scoring (14.0 ppg) and rebounding (8.0 rpg), while Alice Conrad holds team leads in assists (24) and steals (28).
Union holds an overall record of 7-4 and a 2-1 mark in GSC play. The Bulldogs earned a dominant 107-45 victory over CBU in its lone GSC contest last week, before defeating Drury in non-conference action on Monday. Union leads the conference in scoring, averaging 87.5 points, while shooting 40.5-percent from the floor and 32.3-percent from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs also lead the league in three-point field goals made per game (11.5). Across the GSC, Olivia Lee ranks sixth in the scoring (14.5 ppg) and Morgan Escobedo ranks second in assists per game (4.3). Courtney Zensen leads the league in three-point field goals per game (2.9), while ranking second in three-point field goal percentage (.426).
