Lewis tallied another save on a TU free position shot but went down with an injury in the final five minutes of regulation. Tusculum took advantage of UM's fresh keeper, scoring three goals in quick succession to tie the game at 13 all with just 2:19 to play. The Falcons saw three chances to score in the final two minutes but three big saves from TU sent the game into overtime at the 13-13 tie.

After an uneventful first half of overtime, Montevallo would take advantage of a Pioneer turnover and won a free position attempt. Senior attacker Jenna Piazza buried the shot in the back of the net to give Montevallo a 14-13 victory, its first overtime win in program history.
