WINTER PARK, Fla. – Montevallo women's lacrosse fell to No. 14 Rollins in a road meeting on Friday night.
The Tars blanked Montevallo in the opening quarter taking a 6-0 lead into the second with sophomore goalkeeper
Ashlei Piazza record a trio of save in the final four minutes en route to a career high.
Ellery Shearer scored Montevallo's first goal of the night at the 10:57 mark of the second quarter before
Claire Withington ended the first half on a high note with a woman-down goal in the final minute.
Piazza added three more saves in the third quarter as Montevallo's defense held Rollins to just two goals in the quarter to head to the fourth in a 13-2 hole.
Withington added her second goal of the night at the 4:55 mark of the fourth quarter before Piazza set a new career-high with 13 saves with a save in the final seconds of the game.
