MONTEVALLO, Ala. – After a week off, the Montevallo men's soccer team returns to action on Monday, Sept. 22, closing non-conference play at Carson-Newman.
The Falcons enter the game with an overall record of 0-2-2, with all four games against teams that are ranked or receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. Last time out, the Falcons earned a hard-fought scoreless draw against No. 4 Anderson and fell to No. 16 Nova Southeastern 4-1.
Dominic Kienzle scored his third goal of the season against the Sharks, which was assisted by
Dakota Hart. Kienzle has a team leading-seven points (three goals, one assist) on the year, followed by Hart with three points (one goal, one assist). Defender

Andre Etcheverry have played all 360 minutes so far. Etcheverry has tallied ten saves through the four contests.
Carson-Newman enters the contest with a 0-4-2 record, with four of the six opponents being GSC schools. This past week, the Eagles dropped a pair of contests to No. 25 AUM (0-2) and Coker (0-1). Ben Dukes and Mitchell Honcoop lead the team with two goals each, while Dukes has the only assist on the season. Elijah Buford has played all six games and 540 minutes in goal, allowing 1.50 goals per game and recording 28 saves.
Kickoff at McCown Field is set for 2 p.m. CST on Monday, Sept. 22 in Jefferson City, Tenn.
