MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo men's soccer team opens Gulf South Conference play this week, with a pair of road contests against Lee (Sept. 26) and Trevecca Nazarene (Sept. 28).
The Falcons enter conference play with an overall record of 1-2-2, with four of the five contests coming against teams ranked or receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. Montevallo captured its first victory of the season on Monday, taking down Carson-Newman, 3-1, on the road.

Tomas Prieto scored goals against the Eagles, while
Ian Palma and
Victor Flores recorded assists.
On the season, Kienzle leads the team in points (nine), goals (four), and shots (ten) while sharing a team leading-five shots on goal with

Andre Etcheverry have played all 450 minutes this season. Etcheverry has recorded 12 saves through the five contests.
Lee enters the contest with a 3-3 record and 0-2 mark in GSC play. The Flames dropped a pair of road games to UAH (1-2) and West Alabama (1-2). As a team, Lee leads the GSC in shots per game, averaging 6.00. Nicolas Napoli leads the team in points (ten), goals (four), and assists (two). Charles Carriglitto has seen the most time in goal and posts a 2-2 record with six saves and five goals against.
Trevecca Nazarene enters the week with a 3-1-1 record and a 1-1 mark in GSC play. The Trojans split its first two GSC contests last week, falling at West Alabama 1-2, before rebounding at home against UAH 1-0. Chris Douglas leads the team in points (seven), goals (three), and shots (nine). Hunter Walker has started all five games in goal and is tied for second in the GSC in total saves with 21. He has allowed seven goals through five contests.
