MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The 19
th ranked Falcons host No. 21 Florida Tech on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. for a rematch of the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament with the Falcons heading to Catawba on Saturday, Sept. 13 for the final game before the Gulf South Conference schedule opens.

The Falcons enter the weekend with a 1-0-0 record after knocking off Anderson, 1-0, on Thursday, Sept. 4 in Montevallo's opening game of the season. Senior

Florida Tech's season began with a 5-0 win over fellow Gulf South Conference member Auburn Montgomery before falling to the No. 2 ranked Cougars of Columbus State, 3-0, on Sept. 7. FIT is led by Lauryn Wood with four points on a pair of goals while Alice Mottershead leads the team with a pair of assists.
Catawba began the 2025 campaign with a 3-0 win over Frostburg State on Sept. 5 before adding a 4-0 win over Chowan on the road on Sept. 7. The Indians enter the week with a No. 23 ranking according to the United Soccer Coaches and marks the Falcons' second game in a row against a ranked opponent. Catawba is led by Bree Ehmer who has tallied a total of seven points on three goals and an assist while Jenni Dahne has tallied a pair of clean sheets with seven saves in 180:00 minutes of action.
GAME NOTES
- In the all-time series history, Montevallo leads with a 4-3-2 record with the Falcons going 3-1 in the last four meetings against the Panthers.
- The previous meeting between the two sides featured a 1-0 Montevallo win on Nov. 24 in Melbourne, Fla. during the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
- Montevallo's meeting with Florida Tech is the first of five meetings on the calendar against 2024 NCAA Tournament selections.
- The Falcons head into Tuesday's contest with a trio of Preseason All-GSC selections in Morgan Goehring, Shadia Valenzuela and Isabel Dillehay alongside GSC newcomer watchlist members Lara Brewis, Stina Johansson and Sierra Nickelberry.
