MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo men's and women's swimming teams hit the road on Saturday for a tri-meet at Sewanee, Tenn., facing the host Tigers and Asbury. Competition is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Fowler Center Natatorium.
The Falcons enter the weekend with momentum after a strong road performance at Delta State. The UM men earned an impressive 145-114 victory over No. 19 Delta State, while the women were led by Alexandria Morgan, who captured two individual first-place finishes and helped the Falcons win the 200-yard medley relay alongside Petra Cajkas, Hanna Persson, and Keara McGee.
Sewanee's men's team brings a 4-2 dual meet record, while the Tiger women sit at 3-2. Both squads are coming off first-place finishes at the Sewanee Invitational this past weekend.
Asbury enters the tri-meet with the men holding a 2-4 record and the women standing at 4-2. Both teams placed sixth at last weekend's Colonel Classic in Danville, Ky.
MEET NOTES
- The Falcons will compete at Fowler Center Natatorium for the second time this season after opening the year at the Sewanee Relays.
- Saturday's meet marks the first-ever meeting between Montevallo and Asbury in swimming.
