FLORENCE, S.C. – Montevallo Acrobatics and Tumbling won its first ever Conference Carolinas tri-meet, as the Falcons earned a pair of wins over Coker and Francis Marion on Friday evening.

Montevallo finished the meet with a total score of 248.105, while Coker finished with a score of 243.805 and Francis Marion finished with a score of 222.310.

Montevallo started strong in the Compulsory Event, as the Falcons recorded a 35.30.  The Falcons recorded two scores over 9.00 in the first event, earning a 9.75 in the Toss Heat and 9.35 in the Pyramid Heat. Montevallo led the way early, as Coker recorded a 33.75 and Francis Marion scored a 31.40.

The Falcons followed that up by recording a 27.65 in the Acro Event. Lexie Cole, Rilyn McAllister, and Alesandra Vega earned the highest Acro score with a 9.55 in the Five-Element. Cole, McAllister, Ally Torres, and Morgan Wright recorded a 9.15 in the Seven-Element. Coker finished the Acro Event with the highest score (28.30), while Francis Marion scored a 24.35.

Montevallo's best showing came in the Pyramid Event, earning scores of 9.65 in the Inversion Heat, 9.55 in the Synchronized Heat, and 9.55 in the Open Heat. The Falcons finished the Pyramid Event with a total score of 28.75, while Francis Marion recorded a 28.10 and Coker scored a 27.90.

Katie Quinn, Torres, Corrine Wilcox, Payton Roach, Zoey Cooper, and Katlyn Smith earned the best score in the Toss Event, recording a 9.25 in the 450 Salto Heat. The Falcons finished the Toss Event with a 26.90. Coker recorded a 27.55 and Francis Marion scored a 25.25.

Montevallo saw multiple strong performances in the Tumbling Event. Tracie Leopold earned the highest score, recording a 9.150 in the Aerial Pass. Torres recorded a 8.550 in the Open Pass and McAllister earned an 8.375 in the Six-Element Pass. The Falcons recorded a total score of 48.475 in the Tumbling Event, compared to Coker's 48.725 and Francis Marion's 42.050.

The Falcons secured the tri-meet victory by earning the highest score in the Team Event. Montevallo recorded an 81.03, compared to Coker's 77.58 and Francis Marion's 71.16.
