The Falcons carry a five-game winning streak into the ranked midweek matchups after taking two games from No. 5 West Alabama and sweeping Valdosta State over the weekend. Montevallo leaned on a dominant pitching performance on Saturday, tossing back-to-back shutouts to complete the sweep of the Blazers.

Zach Wyatt turned in another quality start in the opener, striking out a career-high 12 over 7.2 innings, while UM secured a 9-5 victory behind his performance and a pair of home runs from McGwire Turner.

Young Harris enters the week ranked as high as No. 14 in the nation by D2 Baseball, posting a 23-6 (16-2 CC) record to start the 2026 season. The Mountain Lions are riding a four-game winning streak after defeating Lee and earning a road sweep over UNC Pembroke this past weekend.

Offensively, Young Harris features one of the top lineups in the country, ranking first nationally in hits (409), home runs (68), and slugging percentage (.645), while also sitting in the top five in several other key categories. As a team, the Mountain Lions are hitting .375 and have five players batting .400 or better, led by Drew Bray (.434). Keypher Contreras (14), Jackson Morgan (13), and Kade Smallwood (12) each bring double-digit home run totals into the series.

On the mound, Young Harris holds a 5.47 team ERA and 1.54 WHIP, with 227 strikeouts to 105 walks this season. Opponents are hitting .284 against the Mountain Lion pitching staff. Righthander Sean Keener (1-1, 3.68 ERA) is slated to start Tuesday's contest, while Tommy Dowd (0-0, 8.64 ERA) is expected to get the start on Wednesday.
