TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Montevallo women's tennis team saw its season come to a close Thursday afternoon, falling 4-0 to No. 7 and top-seeded Mississippi College in the GSC Quarterfinals at the Tuscaloosa Tennis Center.
Mississippi College seized control early, using a pair of 6-2 victories at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to claim the opening point and build momentum.
In singles play, the Choctaws, who remain unbeaten on the year, continued to control the match. Mississippi College picked up straight-set wins at No. 6 and No. 2 before clinching the team victory with a win on Court 1 to secure the 4-0 decision.
Montevallo concludes the 2026 spring campaign with a 5-10 overall record, highlighted by several ranked individual and doubles wins throughout the season. In addition, Klara Podskubkova earned All-GSC Second Team honors, while Latizia Bojara was named the GSC Champion Scholar-Athlete.
