MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo men's lacrosse falls to No. 2 seed Flagler, 14-12, in the 2026 Peach Belt Conference title game.
 
Flagler drew first blood in the opening minute before John Morris scored an unassisted goal at the 12:22 mark to tie the game at 1-1. On the next Falcon possession, Lucas Mullen scored on an assist from Aidan Collery to give Montevallo its first lead of the day. With 7:45 left in the first, Daniel O'Leary assisted on Michael Howkins first goal of the day to put the Falcons up by two. After a second Saint goal, Collery found his first of the day before Howkins lifted Montevallo to a 5-2 lead with 3:09 left in the first. Flagler cut the lead down to two before Alex Egorshin tallied a pair of saves to close the first with a 5-3 Montevallo lead.
 
Egorshin tallied three saves to open the second quarter before Samuel Martin gave Montevallo a 6-3 lead with 10:07 on the clock. Martin tallied his second of the day off an assist from Matthew Boas with just 6:17 on the clock before Flagler cut the lead down to 7-4 with 5:28 left in the first half. Mullen added to Montevallo's lead with just over four minutes left in the half before Boas' first goal lifted the Falcons to a 9-4 lead just before the break. The Saints cut UM's lead down to two before the break with a 3-0 run to close the half.
 
The Saint opened the second half with a 3-0 run to take a 10-9 lead at the 11:56 mark. Egorshin tallied three saves over the next eight minutes before Flagler took an 11-9 lead with just over three minutes left in the third. Egorshin added another pair of saves but the Saints would take an 11-9 lead into the fourth.
 
Flagler extended its lead early in the fourth before Collery trimmed the lead down to 12-10 with 11:34 left to play. After a pair of Egorshin saves, Flagler took a 13-10 lead with just 4:15 on the clock. Martin scored off a pass from Mullen to cut the lead down to two at the 3:33 mark. With just 1:50 on the clock, Boas brought the Falcons back within one on an unassisted effort. With just 23 seconds on the clock, Flagler found the back of the net to secure its 14-12 win over Montevallo.
