MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Third-seeded Montevallo will host sixth-seeded King in the Conference Carolinas Acrobatics and Tumbling Quarterfinals on Tuesday evening.

Montevallo closed the regular season with a 5-3 NCATA record and a 6-2 mark in Conference Carolinas action. After being picked fifth in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll, the Falcons finished third in its first year in the Conference with the 6-2 mark, only finishing behind nationally ranked programs Wingate and Lander. The Falcons picked up wins over Mars Hill, Emmanuel (forfeit), Coker, Francis Marion, King, and Newberry.

Montevallo holds season averages of 35.900 in the Compulsory Event, 26.825 in the Acro Event, 27.642 in the Pyramid Event, 26.258 in the Toss Event, 47.800 in the Tumbling Event, and 82.682 in the Team Event. Across the six meets this season, the Falcons recorded a total season average of 247.157.

Last time out, the Falcons earned a program best meet total of 252.560 in a tri-meet against Newberry and No. 14 Wingate. In Friday's tri-meet, Katie Quinn, Corrine Wilcox, Katlyn Smith, and Raedyn Register recorded a season-high 9.65 in the Seven-Element Acro. The Falcons tied season-highs in the Compulsory Pyramid (9.80) and Synchronized Pyramid (9.70).

King holds a 4-4 NCATA record and a 4-4 mark in Conference Carolinas. The Tornado average a meet total of 232.119, which included a season-high score of 246.385 against Mars Hill on Mar. 18. King closed the regular season falling to Coker (251.945-237.020).

Montevallo and King faced off earlier this season, as Montevallo captured a 252.180-238.285 victory on Mar. 23. Montevallo earned won all six events and captured 13 heat wins. Montevallo recorded season-highs in the Compulsory Event (36.85) and Acro Event (28.20), while earning its second highest Team Event score (84.63) in the King meet.

Tuesday's meet is set to start at 6:00 p.m. CST.
