Melendez continues his first full professional season with the Atlanta Braves' Single-A affiliate, the Augusta GreenJackets. The southpaw was dominant throughout June, tossing 14.2 scoreless innings while allowing just five hits, striking out 10, and holding opponents to a .114 batting average. He has not allowed a run since May 22, extending an impressive scoreless streak on the mound.
