Was named a Presidential Scholar on the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll... redshirted during his first season with the Falcons... played for the Madisonville Miners in the Ohio Valley Summer Collegiate Baseball League in the summer... compiled a 1-3 record on the mound and a 4.35 earned run average in 20 2/3 innings... registered 17 strikeouts and 10 walks... finished with a .239 batting average and drove in five runs in 26 games, offensively.

Graduated from Bishop McLaughlin Catholic School in Odessa, Fla. in the spring of 2013... was named to the Class 3A All-State team... hit .262 and ranked second on the team with 16 runs scored as a junior... appeared in 12 games on the mound, recording a 2.53 ERA and striking out 47 batters in 38.2 innings... pitched in the playoffs for his summer team, the South Florida Marlins, in the USA Baseball Championships... also pitched in the Perfect Game Championships for the Marlins.
