2016... Was named a Gold Scholar on the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll... was a recipient of the NCAA Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award... appeared in 52 games and started 51 contests during his junior season with the Falcons... posted a .286 batting average with three home runs and drove in 23 runs... scored 48 runs and stole 11 bases in 14 attempts... recorded a .401 on-base percentage and a .379 slugging percentage as well as a .957 fielding percentage... finished with a career-high four hits against Augusta... drove in a career-best four runs against Ohio Valley... scored a career-high four runs against North Georgia.

2015... Competed at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama during his sophomore season... appeared in 13 games and started two contests as a sophomore... finished 1-for-11 at the plate and drove in one run.

2014... Competed at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama during his freshman season... appeared in 21 games and started 19 contests as a freshman... batted .256 and drove in two runs while scoring six runs... was named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and earned the conference's Academic Medal.

High School... Graduated from Briarwood Christian School in Birmingham, Alabama in the spring of 2013.

Personal... Is a Mathematics major at Montevallo... is the son of Don and Bonnie Furuto... has two brothers, Daniel and Luke.
