Coach Bush is entering his sixth season with the University of Montevallo baseball program, serving as the Associate Head Coach/Recruiting Coordinator. During this time the program has been successful both on and off the field.Following the 2022 season, Bush was named the Small College Assistant Coach of the Year by the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association. 
 
On the field, Coach Bush works primarily with catchers. He had the opportunity to coach the second highest draft pick in program history, catcher, Tyler Krabbe. The Houston Astros drafted Tyler in the 19th round. Coach Bush also assists Coach Rose with hitters and base running. The Falcons have continued their run as one of the best offensive teams in the conference, leading the GSC in homeruns in 2019. Coach Bush also serves as the Recruiting Coordinator. He has helped the program grow nationally, as the Falcons landed the #4 ranked recruiting class in the nation in 2019. Recruiting has expanded both nationally and internationally.

In 2022, Bush assisted in the Falcons impressive 36-15 record after the team finished 12-21 in 2021. Individual players also benefited from the Falcons' turnaround. Sam Kuchinski was voted Gulf South Conference Co-Player of the Year. He was one several players to earn All American, All Region and All GSC honors.

Joining Kuchinski on the NCBWA All-America team was Jake Smallwood and Reed Latimer. The trio also received NCBWA and ABCA All-Region honors. Smallwood and Latimer also garnered D2CCA All Region honors, along with Connor Phelan. Phelan, Smallwood, Kuchinski, Latimer and Gino Cozzi earned All-GSC honors.
 
Off the field, Coach Bush wears many hats that branch from the traditional coaching tree. He leads study hall and serves as the team academic manager. This includes helping student-athletes find the right classes, be successful in the classroom, and find tutors when needed. While serving in this area the team has achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
 
Drawing from his educational background in Sports Management and Master’s in Adult Education, he enjoys being involved in the every day operations of the program. These operational duties include enhancing student-athlete development through data entry and tracking of strength and conditioning regimens, athletic performance and the student-athlete recruiting experience. Coordinating camps that bring in coaches and players from all regions. He has continued education in compliance to update both current players and prospective student-athletes. Coach Bush assists in the buying, cleaning and inventory of equipment, and managing and coordinating team meals while both home and on the road. He is also involved in field maintenance of playing surfaces, auxiliary training areas, clubhouse, and new facility upgrades. He was involved in meetings and planning of the newly constructed stadium project.
 
Coach Bush strives to provide the best student-athlete experience in the country for those who attend the University of Montevallo. This includes assisting Coach Rose with coordinating the community involvement initiatives with Light the Night Walk and Field of Angels.
Coach Bush has been able to share his experiences from both on and off the field at recent speaking engagements. He has spoke at both the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association Convention and American Baseball Coaches Association Barnstormers Clinic.
