2015... Was named a Gold Scholar on the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll... appeared in seven games as a reliever as a redshirt freshman for the Falcons... posted a 0-0 record on the mound with a 7.36 earned run average in 7 1/3 innings... finished with 10 strikeouts and six walks... posted a .310 batting average against... recorded season-high two strikeouts against Albany State, Francis Marion and Columbus State... pitched two innings against Columbus State in his longest outing of the season.

2014... Was named a Gold Scholar on the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll... redshirted during his first season with the Falcons... played for the East Cobb Patriots in the Sun Belt Baseball League in the summer... finished with three strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings in limited action.

High School... Graduated from Armuchee High School in Rome, Ga. in the spring of 2013... earned honors awards in science and biology...earned the Rawlings Award... played summer ball for the East Cobb Patriots for two years... played varsity baseball all four years during his high school career... finished with 40 strikeouts in 38 innings and pitched three complete games during his junior season... junior season included a streak of 17 consecutive innings without allowing a walk... also ran cross country all four years during his high school career.

Personal... Is a kinesiology major at Montevallo... is the son of Joe and Lynn Herrin... has one brother, Thomas.
