Deshawn Jones is entering his first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the University of Montevallo men's basketball program.
Jones competed for the Falcons as a senior at Montevallo during the 2017-18 season, averaging 8.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.
Jones spent his junior season at Jacksonville State University and helped the Gamecocks reach the NCAA Division I Tournament for the first time in program history. Jones also competed for two seasons at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College after graduating from West Harrison High School in Gulfport, Mississippi in the spring of 2014.
