Jason Lange is entering his eighth season as the only head coach of the men's lacrosse program at the University of Montevallo in 2025. The 2024 season saw Lange lead the Falcons to the second Peach Belt Conference regular season title in program history. During Lange's seventh season at the helm, he led the Falcons to the first win over a ranked program with a 19-18 overtime win over No. 7 Florida Southern on Feb. 10. The Falcons' first ranked win is also the third overtime victory in the program's history.

During the 2023 season, Lange guided the Falcons to an 11-win season (11-7, 3-2), for the second consecutive year, tying the program's single-season wins record. Coming off of back-to-back Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championship wins, the Falcons reached the tournament semifinals in 2023. Lange earned PBC Co-Coach of the Year honors in 2023.

In 2022, Montevallo recorded its winningest season, setting the single-season wins mark at 11, passing 2021's historic campaign. Montevallo posted a 3-2 mark in PBC play and entered the tournament as the No. 3 seed. With wins in the quarterfinals over Shorter (24-5), Lander in the semifinals (12-8) and UAH in the Championship (15-9), the Falcons earned a second sonsecutive PBC Tournament Title.

During the 2021 season, Lange led UM to a 10-4 season, going undefeated in the Peach Belt, and taking home the inaugural Peach Belt Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship.  Lange was also named Peach Belt Conference Coach of the Year during the 2021 season.

Lange arrived at Montevallo after serving as the head coach for three seasons at Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, North Carolina, a NCAA Division II school in the Conference Carolinas.

Lange compiled a career record of 27-17 in his three seasons at Pfeiffer, including a 10-6 mark in Conference Carolinas play.

Prior to his arrival at Pfeiffer, Lange served as a member of the Mars Hill University coaching staff for four seasons. In his final season at Mars Hill in 2013, Lange helped guide the team to a program-best 11-3 record. Lange also helped lead the team to three consecutive Deep South Conference regular season championships during his time as an assistant coach at Mars Hill.

In six seasons combined as an assistant coach and a head coach, Lange has coached five All-Americans, 22 All-Conference standouts, three Conference Players of the Year, and one Conference Freshman of the Year. He also coached three players that were drafted into the National Lacrosse League, and one player that signed with a Major League Lacrosse team.

Prior to joining the Lions' coaching staff, Lange was a standout on the field for Mars Hill. He served as a defenseman from 2004-09 where he helped lead the team to a Deep South Conference tournament championship in 2008 and a regular season title in 2009. Following the 2009 season, Lange represented the United States Athletes International at the Berlin Open in Germany and helped lead the team to the championship game.

Lange holds a bachelor's degree in physical education with a minor in coaching.

Montevallo announced men's lacrosse as the University's 18th intercollegiate sport in May.  The Falcons' inaugural season is set for the spring of 2018.
