Olson enters his second season with the Falcons and his first as Montevallo's Defensive Coordinator after helping coach UM to an 11-7 record during the 2023 campaign.
Olson was named Defensive Coordinator following the addition of a second assistant coach for Falcon men's lacrosse. In 2023, Olson coached the Falcons goal keepers and Face-off specialists to a PBC Defender of the Year Award along with a CSC Academic All-American selection and a USILA South Region All-Region Honorable Mention. He coached a Falcon keeper to a top 10 finish nationally in save percentage while posting two defensive All-PBC selections and a face-off First Team All-PBC selection.
Prior to Montevallo, Olson worked and owned Lance Olson Lacrosse Training that developed and implemented private one-on-one coaching sessions that provide practice and developmental plans for tactical and technical growth in up-and-coming student athletes.
As an athlete, Olson played lacrosse as a graduate student for Limestone University where he was named 2022 All-South Atlantic Conference Third Team with a SAC Commisioner's Honor Roll selection a year prior.
As an undergraduate, Olson competed at Emmanuel College where he was named 2020 All-Conference and 2020 Academic All-Conference with an Academic All-Conference selection a season prior.
