Collins comes to Montevallo as the program's first offensive coordinator after spending the 2023 season as an offensive assistant for national power Limestone University. In his time as an assistant with the Saints, he helped coach the team to a South Atlantic Conference tournament championship and an appearance in the NCAA Div. II Semifinals following the 2023 campaign.

As an offensive assistant, Collins helped to lead the 2023 Limestone squad to the fourth-best scoring offense in all of Div. II. He also coached the SAC's leading goal-scorer in 2022 while coaching a pair of 2022 all-conference attackmen.

Prior to becoming an assistant, Collins earned his Master's of Business Administration from Limestone while spending two seasons as a midfielder. In his time as a student-athlete, he helped to lead the program to its first SAC regular season championship and a trip to the national semifinals in the 2022 season.

Collins spent 2017-20 as an undergraduate student at North Carolina State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a minor in Coaching. During his time at N.C. State, he also coached as an assistant at Sanderson High School in Raleigh, N.C.
