Samuel Horning, a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is entering his first year as an assistant for Montevallo men's lacrosse program.
Horning attended Wheeling Jesuit University for 2 years and then transferred to the University of Indianapolis. At Wheeling, he was named to the ECAC All-Rookie team as a freshman and was an Honorable Mention All-ECAC as a Sophomore.
At Indy, as a Junior was second on the team in points with 33 (23 goals, 10 assists). Senior year was named first-team All-GLVC and helped Indy capture its first conference championship.
Graduated with a degree in Communications with a focus in Public Relations.
Was an assistant coach in 2019-2020 at Colorado College in Colorado Springs Colorado. Coached the face-off unit and helped coach the offense. Through 6 games, CC was 69% on faceoffs and averaging 16 goals per game.
Co-Founder of Blue Label Lacrosse, a non-profit, club youth lacrosse organization focused on growing the game in Colorado Springs. Founded in 2017.
