The University of Montevallo softball Head Coach Beth Wade has announced the addition of Faith Sims as Assistant Coach, on Thursday, August 3.
Sims assumes the role after serving as a coach at Cordova High School during 2021-2023. Faith also coached at the University of Alabama Birmingham before her stint at Cordova.
Before her coaching career, Faith played collegiately at Jacksonville State University. While at JSU, she set multiple records including three No-Hitters, six Saves in 2019 (most by a JSU pitcher all-time in a season), 46 appearances (1st all-time) and the best win percentage in a season (23-5, .821%).
At JSU, she was a Four-Time OVC Champion, had Three NCAA Regional appearances and Two Regional Championship Game appearances.
During her coaching career, Faith led Cordova to a 40-20 record in 2022 and a 45-18 record in 2023. They made an AHSAA Regional appearance and finished in the top-16 in 2023.
