SAINT LEO, Fla. – University of Montevallo senior Carrington Caise scored a team-high 12 points in the Falcons' 77-40 loss Nov. 15 to host Saint Leo in the final game of the Saint Leo Classic.
Caise, who made 4-of-17 field goals, also dished out a team-high four assists for the Falcons, who dropped to 0-2 on the season.
Junior Jacquelyn Thompson added 10 points after knocking down 5-of-7 attempts at the charity stripe.
Freshman Katija Tarailo contributed six points and grabbed a team-best seven rebounds. Sophomore Katie Colson chipped in five points and junior Katherine Goldsby added four points. Junior Tianna Hill finished with three points and six rebounds.
Montevallo shot just 19 percent from the floor, while the host Lions shot 47 percent from the field.
Mary Redmond led the Lions (2-0) with a game-high 17 points.
The Falcons will return to action Wednesday, Nov. 19 against the University of North Alabama in their home opener.
Tip-off at Trustmark Arena is set for 5:30 p.m.
